Let’s be honest: If you’re reading this article, then you’re either lonely or in a disgustingly PDA-filled relationship. But probably the former of the two, because if you have the time to be in a relationship, you wouldn’t be wasting time reading about love, would you? You would just go ahead and experience it with your significant other. 

 

However, if you are a longing soul, I want you to know that you’re not alone. It sounds ironic, but it’s true; 53/58 of HSMSE students like love songs at least once a year. Reasons why ranged from “I’m so obsessed with them that I spent 30 mins typing out this list with a sprained wrist” to “Whenever I listen to them, they remind me of her.” Is this concerning? Maybe, but it’s comforting to know that the majority of us are a part of one big, sappy community. 

 

So, in honor of the slightly depressing amount of students who have hours to kill this Valentine’s Day, I made a list of all of the best love songs (HSMSE student-certified, of course).
