Girls Softball

The Girls Softball team finished with a 10-2 record this season and made the first round of the playoffs. Coming off of a championship last year, they had a lot of roster changes, with seniors leaving and freshmen joining. “It was a really new team. A lot of people were trying out new positions, so we were just trying to learn how to play with each other,” said sophomore Emily Dow. The Dragons definitely learned, as they put up the best record in their division, but it was also a mixed bag: “We had a lot of injuries, which hurt us a lot. But we got to the playoffs, which is good for a school our size. And we all put in the time and practiced a lot, I think we improved a lot and I think it showed in our playing.” Because of all the new and improving players on the team, the future seems bright: “We now have a lot of freshmen who’ve been properly trained, so I think next season we’ll have a more experienced team, and I think the team as a whole will work a lot better.”
