Frisbee Awards

As the frisbee teams didn’t get to hand out awards at the banquet like the rest of the teams, we’ve included a section for them to honor their outstanding players:

Rookie of the Year: Ansel Shirasu-Hiza – Absolutely electric as an initiating cutter and his motor as a deep threat provided our offense a dynamism that was tough to contain.

Most Improved Player: Elliot Hernandez – Made huge strides with his throwing throughout the season. As the season progressed he emerged as a punishing downfield defender, regularly generating impressive blocks to get us the disc back.

MVP: Eli Lipman – A true do it all player. He slotted in at every position on the field for us and always found a way to make an impact.  More importantly his teammates believed in him, always looking to him to make plays when he was on the field.

Coach’s Award: Lily Yan – Dogged defender who could be trusted to pressure big throwers and nullify their impact, yet remained a calming presence as a handler, consistently available for resets and kept our offense alive and in flow.
