This past pi day, along with math puns, digit competitions, and MIT decisions, came with something no less exciting (at least for this small community). The Echo and its editors-in-chief were featured in an article in the Columbia Journalism Review! Seniors Zoe and Orlena were interviewed by journalist Belle Cushing about their founding of The Echo and their dedication to print media. The article “How Print Got Cool Again” discusses the trend among high school newspapers toward printing physical copies rather than just posting to a website. Is print “cool” again just because it’s retro, or is it something greater?
